SUMMARY This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process identify, segregate, isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety. REQUIREMENTS Education High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience Minimum of 1 year experience in the Fresh Meats industry required or other QA type experience. Communication Skills Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Special Skills Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce good problem identification and problem solving skills math and organizational skills ability to read and interpret product specifications must function well under stress must have flexibility to work where and when needed. Physical Requirements Position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more). Supervisory None Travel None


Represents Quality Assurance Department on inter-departmental teams. Works with a PD team to develop manufacture new products or improve existing product lines. Works with Planning and Production to eliminate allergen cross contamination. Initiates inter-departmental programs to communicate HACCP, SSOP, GMP developments training and QA concerns Proficient with SAP. Able to run, utilize and maintain the following types of reports Shelf life, HOLD, MOCK recall, and various other reports (meat, metal, fat, micro, etc) Ensure documentation and record keeping is incompliance. Proficient in Excel and able gather statistics and evaluate data. Performs task and works on projects which include dealing with vendors, microbiology, specifications, SQF HACCP USDA programs. Investigates and reports findings in regards to Consumer Complaint Investigation and Response program. Performs all essential duties and responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Technician II as needed. Stays current with changes in process, procedures and methods. Analyze data generated by QA for root cause determination and correction of process related issues.
